So when there is less demand, they screwed us by not processing on-time and when there is more demand, they are processing ROW fast to give them more visas, so there won't be any spill-over. What a convenient system????
Unless we understand that CIS/State is the reason for Visa wastage and not any specific country/group/EB1,EB2 etc.. We will not be able to fight united and till then we will not get this mess cleared.

Like I said, after AILA's memo came out yesterday, all the lawyers who were saying "it wont happen" have suddenly flipped and now they are saying "Anything can happen".
Sometimes I wonder what are we paying them for if we have to send them URL from AILA about various memos and directives? Isnt it a part of job description to keep an eye out on what's going on at USCIS ? It is available on websites for the whole world to see after all. I wonder how efficient these lawyers were when Internet didnt exist and everything was thru phones and postal services.
And ever since the dates got current for the whole world in July, lawyers are snapping back when you email/call them as if its our fault that dates suddenly became current for the whole world ? If its too much burden, then maybe its time to look for some other profession. No one is putting a gun on your head saying : "Be an immigration lawyer".
It is all about job stability and ego. They can act ignorant and slow and trap their clients in this perpetual state of anxiety. That is what their strategy is all about.
If we (highly skilled and informed) suffer so much at their hands, imagine the plight of millions of undocumented immigrants who are at their mercy.

People from June 2006 are geting GC means that USCIS enough visa so they started to give gc to 2006 candidates.. is my belief true. What will be date in new year's first quater for eb2 india ?
I don't think USCIS has any idea as to how much "enough" visa they have....They function randomly...so plz dont draw any conclusions from who is getting a GC now. It could be the last person filed with latest PD while everyone else waits for their GC!

This was the response I got 3 years ago when I enquired, but I believe the process is different for each province in Canada, and you may want to talk to the person below for more details. Life after internship/residency is not that lucrative in Canada. You may be better off in the Middle East.

Nope that's not correct. You file your business earnings through 1099 and not W2. It has nothing to do with H1-B. Good luck.

It would be beyond good for the case if we had some EB applicants who filed their 485s in 2003-2004 and are still waiting.

My point is not every body has money at present in hand to buy a house. Every body likes to spend their money and settle down here, otherwise no body would have applied for green card. This plan is proposed all of the sudden and it is not fair. If i consider people, who lost jobs because of this worst market, you are twisting the story by talking prevailing wages and illegal status. FYI, I have potential to buy a home here and currently working and making enough money here. I request you answer the question only, not twist.

A new ruling is different than challenging an existing rule. So, we cannot compare with DL Issue. Name checks, I don't think it is logical. But at the same time, it is not with sinister design as well. Latest memo doesnt admit that they introduced this to screw us. It happened consequentially due to delays, less funding allocation and other processing slack. (BTW, I think MI IV Leadership team did a wonderful job for the DL Issue.)

I'm in the same boat: already approved by Buffalo, just waiting for my second daughter to be born (any time now :)), and we'll be on our way to Canada. We plan to settle in Calgary, but after I've heard of the new MS office in BC, I might seek to go to Vancouver -- the time will tell.
I've been in the USA for almost 13 years, got two of my bachelor's degrees here, 9 years of progressive IT experience. Three companies and three I-485 attempts later, I've been stuck in retrogression over the last 2.5 years. My family, my business, my life -- everything has been affected, much the same as for most folks on this forum. So, with two US-born kids we'll go up North; our friends are waiting for us in Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto, Montreal, or Vancouver.
