On the one hand we are fighting hard to get amendments. On the other hand we're also fighting hard to make sure that our provisions are not taken out. Just to give you further details, Diane Feinstein was working hard to introduce an amendment that would remove the exemptions for Dependents and STEM. Just think how much of a blow that would have been if those exemptions were removed.

Because accordiing to your post you want your geencard but do not want others who filed in perm to proceed further.
In my proposal, if I cannot get my greencard, then nobdy else should. This is more fair.:D
What Happyfeet has said makes logical sense, though none of the above proposals impact me. Whoever applied first, should be served first, isn't it logical? We all know, Priority Date is not used for prioritising approvals. It is just a date on your application, which can stop your application from progressing further, if looked at, at the wrong time. Why not simply ask for approving in PD order.

The way i see it, they've asked for past emp letter with tax forms and some w2s.
None of those would indicate that you were on the bench.
The emp letter should basically just indicate your dates for employment - start/end date, designation, duties and perhaps salary. that's all.

I would type the information related to the COPY OF EAD that you are sending now.
OR
I would type the information related to the EAD which is of most use to you.
Also dont only listen to people on this forum.
Call USCIS !!!
My original "Reciept notice" of 485 came from "California service Center" then few weeks i got another notice of action notice type = "Transfer Notice" that said your application has been transfered to "Nebraska service center".
For EAD renewal should i send copy of just Receipt Notice or both?
Also should i send the EAD renewal app to "Texas Service Center" as per instructions because i live in MA ?

Are you saying IV can't find anyone IV trust to do this, or nobody in IV core thinks it is woth it to do some extra leg work? I don't think IV has the luxury of not doing the leg work. Every peny counts.

I have got renewed my NJ license while my H1 extension was pending. I did it at eatontown location. They asked for original receipt notice. Trenton location also does it. Probably there should be a location in north jersey which accepts the original receipt notice.

Your lawyer seems to be incorrect on this. You may want to consider getting second opinion.
AC-21 can be invoked on H1 as well as on EAD. Your choice.
Many times, joining second employer is relatively easy on EAD as it involves no H1 filing (less paperwork), but using EAD requires one to travel ONLY on AP.
Using H1 is more peace of mind. If for some reason I-485 is denied, one can in US (and work too) until H1 status expiry date and handle appeal more effectively.

I still have about 2.2yrs left on my 9th yr 3yr H1 extension. So if i don't need EAD when i use AC21 do i just file AC21 or do i need to transfer H1 too? And i guess this means even after i invoke AC21 i will still be on H1 status which is what i prefer.
Also is there any CIS links stating we don't need EAD to invoke AC21 so i can talk to my lawyer?
