Number of VISA numbers are same for EB2 I and EB3 I or not???
If in case same....why we not getting any approvals for EB3 compare to EB2?
I can understand why EB3 in 2001 and EB2 in 2006..
but my question is .... why Eb3 is not moving when EB2 is moving?

Employment letter is a MUST. Without this letter, your application can be denied without even an RFE. Read the latest USCIS memo. Please tell your lawyer and HR.

Obama clearly explained that he wanted to end abuses of the H1-B visas that is used by highly qualified specialists to work in US. He added that he would make "immigrant workers less dependent on their employers for their right to stay in the country, and would hold accountable employers who abuse the system and their workers".
I read that too, the problem is that American people have now become aware of the H1B visa abuse, I believe all these Desi vendor/body shops have really abused the system to the root. If democrats take over, which I interpret they most likely will, they will put out much strict regulations on these small companies. I know some people in my university are planning to join a community that will report the Desi companies abusing the system to department of commerce, because their are some people who failed to get H1b visa in last two years due to the lottery system.

Permit me to call out the grossly misguided emotions I've seen in this thread.
We have a co-alum of the DHS Secy sending a detailed, cogent and EASY TO READY letter pleading for our cause and yet we diss her.
Sheela Murthy might be different things to different people. Reality is that she is agent of capitalism JUST AS WE ARE. Then, why take a holier than thou attitude and arbitrarily attribute nefarious intentions to her actions?
This shallowness illustrates the deep void in vision and a decidedly insular world view.
I would urge IV members to THANK Sheela Murthy for her cogent articulation of the human impact of this disastrous situation and ask her to continue to support the cause through various means.
And by the way, I am NOT a client and that should make no difference in the quest for objective realization that there are shared interests at play.
However, I AM a trained negotiator and conflict mediator (apart from being a co-author of a mediation model) and hence from that perspective would aver that such realization of shared gains are what ADD VALUE to a discussion.

While we are trying our best to fix a broken system and brace ourselves, lets take a look at what is happening in other parts of the world.
European Union is introducing a Blue Card that will allow you to work in any of the EU coountries
Euro value is rising against dollar
Opportunities will be on the rise with strengthening the currency.
Lets run this thread for sharing views, opinions, experiences and anything related to the EU

The reason this threads interests me is because I am an Indian national married to a Bulgarian and we live and work in the US. EU is the next option for us if this GC drags on too long. Just carry a copy of I-94 or EAD with you all the time. Just keep it stapled to your insurance or in your wallet and forget about it.

All - plz take it easy as this is solely individual opinion.
When a country is prospering means the jobs are getting created. That is what happened until Clinton Era. But I know that this cannot be forever. Every field is going to reach the peak, falls back and hopefully straightens.
Our IT field is somewhat dependent on other industries to create jobs. So, if other industries are all shipping the operations to foreign soil or loosing steam due to competition in free trade how well a country can prosper. You cannot have 100% service oriented country...it is only possible for small countries like Singapore...but not for big countries like US of A where they have plenty of land.
So, my point here is if you want GC you should have job now (EBn) and future. So, if jobs are getting created then you will have job today and tomorrow too.
So, simply saying "I support immigration" does not mean anything. It could be a REAL political statement like our famous Indian politicians. So, at this time I do not believe nobody as this is all still nacent. once someone takes office, we should be ready to push with our goals in mind.
It is good to debate between one another but let us have plans to how to deal for our existence...

I am with you and willng to contribute, but unless we are united and willing to take some action here, there's no hope. Even people who get approved now, never come back to contibute a penny - there has to be some provision of visa recapture.

Is country quota in EB category justified? Hell No. But you know what - if you remove that then entire EB system would be high jacked by Indians, just like they have high jacked H1-B and L-1 visa category.
Agreed.The purpose of H1Bs is to help companies.The purpose of GCs is for political reasons with a Mask named EB.
They don't care if we are tired of working in H1B , many people are in Line to come here on H1.Then they don't have to give you a GC when there are millions of people are ready to work on H1
