I agree with what you are saying. But, we need to compare the taxes too. Not sure of the taxes charged by vonage when compared with teleblend.
even if the taxes are slightly more, vonage gives you 2 months free (save $50) and ships you adapter free, no shipping and activation with a referral. Your referrer gets 2 months free too. If you put this in to mathematics, vonage may come out cheaper than teleblend. Additonally its much more established and bigger VOIP provider.
However teleblend now offers unlimited US, Canada etc only for $99 for 1 year. This is unbeatable as it comes out roughly $8 per month. Good option to consider for those who do not need unlimited india plan.

"Your I-485 case as August 12, 2010 is currently under review. You should receive a decision or notice of other action within 60 days of the date of this letter."

When I cancelled in Mar-09 , my experience was different. The CS was humble and only persuaded me not to leave. But the cancellation process went smooth.
FYI...I heard from some of my friends that Vonage is good as long as you are its customer. Once you call CS and tell them you are leaving...they play all sorts of dirty tricks.

Yes you can port it using AC21. IV will need to issue a new memo for it though. But your designation should be same. If you are a junior member, you need to post only as a junior member on IV forums.

Hi,
I was scheduled to travel outside US this summer for about 3 months. Then dates move past my PD and I have to apply for 485 in june. I have discussed these with the lawyer and want to confirm what she is telling me:
1) I have to be in the country to apply for 485.
2) FP notice will likely arrive in 3-4 weeks. But we have 84 days to reschedule this if needed.
3) I was not planning on applying for EAD/AP at this time. However, she says that if I leave the country on H1, and 485 is approved while I am out of the country (HIGHLY unlikely but still possible), then I cannot come back into the country unless I have an AP. (This is the point that I mainly need clarification on!)
4) If I DO apply for EAD/AP then I cannot leave the country until they are approved.
5) Finally she cannot give me a timeline for how long EAD/AP would take. The service centers processing times show that they are currently processing Jan cases. Which means at least 4 months wait after applying for EAD/AP.

Collected from some other forum . Just google search your name combinations ( within quotes ).
For eg. if you have FirstName MiddleName LastName .
The search should be ( put within quotes )
"FirstName MiddleName"
"FirstName LastName"
"MiddleName LastName"
and all the reverse combinations.
If you get hits in 100s or 1000s , yeah you can wait 2 -3 years.
This is observed from the names of Indians.

Implement the existing interim rule to allow issuance of multi-year Employment Authorization Documents (EAD) and Advance Parole.
According to Mr. Aytes, USCIS is already working on it. Why to mention it in the letter?
That will rather give anti-skill-immigration crying babies one more thing to cry about.
Now what? Under the new filing fee schedule which took effect after July 29, 2007, issuance of EAD and Advance Parole for the post August 27, 2007 is "free, free, free" for the I-485 filers. Allegedly, the cost is incorporated in the I-485 filing fee of $1,020. The new regulation uses the term of "fee waiver" for EAD and Advance Parole for these I-485 filers. Now, you guessed it! Lo and Behold, the business calculation on EAD and Advance Parole has reversed. The DHS will lose a huge money by issuing single-year EAD and a separate Advance Prole document on a yearly basis over and over since they are free and they will have to keep producing it at no charge every year, which creates a huge workloads consuming its huge human resources and other production costs. This is particularly unacceptable to the agency under the predicted State Department Visa Bulletin for FY 2008 and in the future. Now, from the business standpoint, the DHS may make a huge money by issuing a multi-year EAD which will also function as a travel document. Ahah! No wonder why they are finally coming forward revealing their hidden agenda behind the new fee rule-making and EAD/Advance Parole reform business. but then the devil is in the details ain't it? The "Except this piece" is what is overwhelmingly providing EB2 the numbers, and that is what will jump start EB3 movement forward.
I think people don't realize that Eb3-ROW is less compared to EB2-I/C and will therefore provide EB3-I numbers sooner than if we wait for EB2-I to get current.
And sorry, I don't support nepotism, everyone should be eligible on their own.

Having filed mine and spouse's AOS in May, honestly everyone these are not hard to file yourselves. If your employer is paying for the lawyer then great, but why not devote a couple hours and do it yourself, cut the lawyer out of the loop. I am sure we have all had bad experiences with lawyers, and heard about many others the chances are you will do a far better job since this really matters to you, you are just another number to the law office.

Yes but on Monday morning it is NOT going to be current appantly. So, technically you did not send documents ( if you are getting it out on MONDAY) when they were current.

Guys this is a revision to the July Visa Bulletin. Meaning, even if the revision happens on July 29th to the July Visa Bulletin, it holds good for entire july.
This is not August bulletin.
Looks like people have misconception, that if their file goes to USCIS on July 2nd and visa bulletin is revised on July 3rd or later date, then they are safe. It is not so.
If at all if there is a change to the August bulletin it holds good for August and not to July bulletin.

For this kind of phone service, we need Internet (or DSL) connection.
Currently I am paying to ATT for Internet(DSL) service, $30. I have lanline with them currently.
If I cancel land line phone service, my DSL fee may increase to $39 + Taxes, etc.
Can some one recommand best Internet provider info. , better service and price.
FYI, I am living in Michigan.

Now they are 1 cents a minute if you use Airtel.
This Vonage offer is truly revolutionary for international calling to the 60 countries listed. I suspect soon other VOP services in USA will start providing free calls to India once they see customers switching over to Vonage. This should include VOIP service providers that also provide internet and cable services. If they do not catch up, cable companies will lose customers in the phone sector. If ooma: Free home phone service. Call anywhere in the US with no monthly fees. (http://www.ooma.com/) , MagicJack or Skype provides this, it will be much for cost effective to customers.
Such services will help bridge the communication gap between immigrants in USA and their home countries. It will feel like making a local call to family and friends anywhere in the world.

What are the chances for her I485 to be denied? Do we have to mention that in I485 form. She is currently on H4 and is not working. Thanks.
