Good stuff, We will all do this. As such, most of the reqruiters, when they contact you on phone they say "My client is not interested in hiring h1b candidates, you must have at least a Green Card or a EAD or must be a US citizen", I was under the impression that a company has the right to proceed with considering you for a job based on whether you are a EAD or a GC or a citizen

you mean there is no freedom in India??? 80-90% of the indians who have H1 have not attended college in US and do you think these people are not educated and knowledgeable. I think you should grow up man... or might be when you get sick and get admitted in hospital and your insurance doesn't cover... you realize the importance of India...

My PERM was filed on 30th March, approved on Aug 11th, received approval copy on 18th Aug, and I-140 to be filed this week.
There was a lot of prep work involved before filing PERM in March. My employer agreed to start the process in Oct'09 and the lawyers started the ads in early Jan.

I have a question....Green card is for future employment.In that case,once your I-485 got approved ,you need to go and work for your original employer who sponsered your green card. Is that right? Is that the same case if someone uses AC21?

I said in my earlier post that I will think about it. This is what I have to say.
There are things that can be measured in single dimension say on x-axis. Say you have to buy a car and you have to ask yourself a question – which car do I like to buy? Say you like Honda as compared to other cars. Your likeability of Honda or such cars could be measured on the positive side of the x-axis and likewise, if you don’t like some car, that can be measured on the negative side on the x-axis. Now, there could be another dimension to the situation, say, what is the car model in question, if it is a civic or maybe accord, accord, CRV, Odyssey, Element or whatever. Now if you ask yourself that question again – which car do I like? This time you need two dimensions to answer the question which Honda model you like and which you don’t like. Foe the sake of clarity you can do this on the X&Y-axis. But say if there is a choice of multiple colors. You would have to now think/plot a 3-dimention model, say a cube, because you may like a model of Honda in one color but you may not like the same color in another model. The reason I say all this is, I have fundamental difference with the folks who do not like reputation system but continue to look at it and complain about it, even when they have the choice not to look at the reputation system. that was a very interesting read. Another scary part is that it took USCIS 6 months to revoke teh I-140 from the time it was requested. Meaning when he actually left his employer, if he had called up USCIS to verify the status of his I-140, it would have come up as still-valid.
Moreover, the decision totally ignores the fact that "The basis for adjustment is not actual (current) employment but prospective employment" and the entire answer to Q10 in Part I of the Aytes Memo od 12/25/05

FYI: The number of name check related lawsuits increased 10 times from January 2006 to January 2007 :) I estimate the total number for this year will be 3-4 times bigger than 2006 number.
There may be a slight decrease in number because of retrogression, but i believe the bros&sis in the citizenship queue will compensate for that.

Another meaning I can extract is if today you took infopass for NC and got nothing or "pending" do not bother yourself next 4 months for inquiry.
On a side note, I was wondering what happens to derivative/secondary beneficiaries 485 applications if the primary beneficiary is stuck in name check.....If secondary beneficiaries are cleared and primary is not, then does USCIS approve GCs for secondary beneficiaries..

This is really sad and very unethical. As my lawyer would put it, the I-140 is owned by the employer that's why he was hesitant at first to give me a copy. So I guess, your employer can do this. I think he knows that you won't have the gut to expose him since this will also put you in an awkward situation since you paid for your labor and I-140 which, strictly speaking, is against the immigration law.

This trend of cases filed at NSC and transferred to CSC and then back to NSC have not received FP notices yet.
Intrestingly, the cases being transferred from NSC to CSC and then going to TSC are getting the FP notices. Sparky_jones got it. I just read above that one other persons went to there too. Please update us when you receive the FP notice and I am sure you will receive it soon.

lol, i see fantasies are growing. A person may not have mother-in-law at all - why can't he marry to both: daughter and mother?
i guess the formula becomes 0<=x<=20... this is sick...
I beg to differ, he can definitely marry both, mother and daughter, but will end up with atleast one mother-in-law. the grandmother:)
so it should be more like: 1<=x<=20
