Hi All,
I don't know if you all know about the ranking of a person or not. There is a sign of "weight balance" at the top right of each post adjacent to the green/red arrow. You can click and disapprove the comment.

Congrats for the GC !!!
You mentioned that both of your cases are under EB2, correct? Normally people will do interfile (PD Amendment) from one category to another, like EB3 to EB2.
Can you please share why you ported in the same category? Or because of some other reason?

One I140 has PD of Oct-2006 and the other one has PD of Feb/2002. In Mar/08 EB2 was completely U, but I had hope that it will turn around and I will be able to use older PD based I140. That is exactly what happened when NSC 485 processing times reached my app's RD. Mine was not to switch categories, but to use the earlier PD.

Quotas are exactly the reason I cannot go back to India ever...I absolutely hate them....There is already classification under EB category....BTW I have a MS in EE from Auburn University....Best bet for us is lost visa recapture.....

I have just called USCIS and spoke to very good and friendly lady IO. She has told me that in case if our applications is rejected for any reason due to lack of intial evidence,less amount of check or any other reason they will send a notice for re-submittal of application.

The lawyer's office are overwhelmed with applications that they need to address. People are worried whether their respective attorney's will file the papers in time. Keeping that situation is perspective, I dont think this initiative is feasible at all, even if it makes sense to a few...

Yes and any one who feels bad can take admission and complete MS. It takes 3-4 semesters any ways.
Eb1, Eb2 will be out of the 140,000 pool. That would free up many visas for row and retrogressed countries.

For how long is USCIS issuing the EAD & AP these days?
I got my EAD valid for 2 Yeays and AP valid for 1 year. It took almost 90 days for EAD to come by (from TSC)...and AP (from NSC) took about 110 days.

Along same lines, I would like to ask, Mark or whoever in anti-immigration camp,
there are only 1M (may be little less) skilled workers looking for immigration and you have problem with that because all of them are not THE BRIGHTEST one, okay... well first understand, for THE BRIGHTEST we have EB1 which is working great. Now in America there is a lot of work which needs experienced and highly skilled worker and we have EB2 for that, apart from that we still have a lot of work which requires hitech skilled worker and for that we have Eb3. So by the definition system has already identified the need and have representation for those.
And secondly you have problem with those who came legally and are highly skilled and have followed all the rules since day 1, counts less that 1 million, you are not willing to give them GC on other hand there are 12M (actually 20 M) who can't even write their names in English and everybody is ready to give them GC even the president of US is ready.
Doesn't that give signal that US is pro illegal and anti-legal immigration.... think about it

I called USCIS customer service regarding the DOB mistake in the AP application.
Here is what they suggested � No need to file another AP or revoke the current application as USCIS already has my correct DOB data based on past applications and they will note the mistake and can match it with the correct one because it is the second time I am applying for AP.
So while sending my documents, I am simply going to add a letter pointing the error in my DOB.

If 485 application is pending for longer time, say more than 2 years, I have seen that USCIS wants a reconfirmation from the employer that they continue to support the green card application for the position for which the application was originally applied. This is not just applicable to consulting companies alone. Any types of companies and applicants in any categories (Eb-1,2&3) could get RFE at the last stage of the process. So to have your application processed without a shred of a doubt, it is best to be in a position to reply that RFE anytime during the process.

Outsourcing is not a good business at all. If you work for a big american consulting company it is good. My company is a big company in India, but still people in my work location think we people are contractors (cheap sweepers) and we are great workers then those people. It is all due to green card I have to stay with this company. Stop outsourcing and IT consulting companies. They never understand that computer is a scrable game.
